Most people died in Turkey
After the earthquake, more than 1000 people lost their lives in Turkiye (Turkey) alone, while this figure has reached 1600 including the dead of other countries. According to the latest reports, 5,380 people have been injured. 2818 buildings have been razed to the ground in the earthquake and 2470 people have been rescued from inside the debris.
Relief work in full swing
Large-scale relief work is going on amidst the tremors of the earthquake. According to the news agency AP, thousands of people are feared trapped in the damaged premises in earthquake-affected countries including Turkey. In a tweet by scientist Frank Hogarbites, it was said that a 7.5 magnitude earthquake would affect South-Central Turkey, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. However, even this prediction of an earthquake did not deter Turkey.
